Rolling. Here are some shots of Brooklyn produced by the Sony A7r and the Voigtlander 12mm f/5.6 Ultra Wide Heliar. This is the 1st version of the 12mm lens in Leica M mount .  You can see the color shift but it's not intrusive for these snaps.  The Voigtlander 12mm is compact and looks great on the A7r. Wilted. Sony A7 and A7r Hands On at PhotoPlus Expo

Image
Sony A7r with a Voigtlander 12mm Lens and Viewfinder It was a very crowded Sony booth at PhotoPlus. The great thing was the Sony representatives were very accommodating to anyone who wanted to play with the new Sony A7 and A7r. We had our bag of lenses and was able to mount them all on the A7 and A7r - check out the 12mm viewfinder on the A7r above. The lenses include the following: Voigtlander 12mm f/5.6 Leica Thread Mount on a helicoid adapter. Voigtlander 35mm f/1.7 Ultron LTM. Minolta 24mm f/2.8 Rokkor MD. Contax G 28mm f/2.8 Biogon. Contax Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 Planar with the Metabones Speedbooster and the standard C/Y adapter. Zeiss 12mm f/2.8 Touit Distagon. The cameras were pre-production and the use of memory cards to record the images was prohibited. We wanted to see if I could see immediate problems on the rear tilting lcd but none were glaring.  The only noticeable issue was color shift with the Contax G 28mm Biogon.  We're hoping that this can be remedied with

Voigtlander 21mm Ultron Aspherical on Sony NEX-7

Image
NEX-7 with Voigtlander 21mm f/1.8 Ultron via Novoflex Leica M to E-mount adapter . TechTalk with Ron Sheffler tested the new Voigtlander 21mm f/1.8 Aspherical Ultron against three other Leica M 21mm lenses on the Leica M9. He also used the lenses on the Sony NEX-7 and found that the Voigtlander 21mm f/1.8 the best at farther distances and large apertures. The Leica 21 f/3.4 Super Elmar-M came in second, the Zeiss 21mm f/2.8 Biogon in third, and the Leica 21 f/1.4 Summilux at the back of the pack. At f/4 all the lenses performed equally well on the NEX-7's APS-C sensor. Here are some samples from the NEX-7 and the Voigtlander 21mm wide open at f/1.8. You can see more samples at TechTalk. Sample Images from NEX-7 with Voigtlander 21mm f/1.8 Check out TechTalk with Ron Sheffler for an extensive review and comparison between the four 21mm Leica M mount lenses mentioned above. There are also plenty of sample images from the Leica M9 with the lenses. Voigtlander 21m

NEX-7 with Voigtlander Sigma and Fuji Lenses in Turkey

NEX-7 with Voigtlander 15mm, Sigma 30mm, and Fujinon 50mm lens Here is a set of pictures by Emmanuel C. taken in Turkey with his Sony NEX-7. He brought along a pair of adapted manual focus lenses: Voigtlander 15mm f/4.5 Super Wide Heliar and the Fujinon 50mm f/1.9 lens. He also used the native E-mount autofocus the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 DN lens. This provides a nice set covering 22.5mm, 45mm, and 75mm equivalent field of view. Voigtlander 21mm Ultron NEX Friendly?

Image
Voigtlander 21mm f/1.8 Ultron Here is a new Leica M mount lens from Voigtlander. It is a fast f/1.8, 21mm wide angle lens. This translates to 30mm (effective FOV) for the Sony NEX sensor. The big question is, will it play well with the APS-C sensor? We are hoping that it does and give us a fast, wide angle lens similar to the Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 ZA E . The manual focus and aperture, Leica M mount, Voigtlander 21mm f/1.8 Ultron will cost £1149. It is almost twice the weight of the Zeiss 24mm. 21mm f/1.8 Ultron Specs from Voigtlander Germany: Due to its large diameter elements, you can shoot with available light even in severe light condition, and also shallow depth of field and super wide angle, this mix of features offers you a chance to emphasize main things with great bokeh. Any kind of aberration is corrected properly by the construction of 13 elements 11 groups with Aspherical element. 13 elements in 11 groups with Aspherical lens Full Metal Barrel with high stiffness and durabi
